Emerald Holding adds wholesale marketplace Bulletin Inc. to its portfolio
Emerald Holding, parent company of NY NOW, acquired Bulletin Inc. this week. Founded by Alana Branston and Ali Kriegsman, who will join the Emerald fold as group vice president of gift and home and vice president of strategy, gift and home, respectively, Bulletin is a curated wholesale marketplace that connects more than 26,000 online-only and brick -and-mortar retailers with over 3,000 innovative indie brands and makers. Under this new agreement, small businesses and buyers will have access to a dynamic platform that encourages round-the-clock interactions.
Pattern Brands acquires two lifestyle labels
Pattern Brands, a budding group of home-life companies including Open Spaces, Equal Parts, and GIR, has expanded beyond organization solutions and kitchen tools with the acquisition of stationery brand Poketo and the housewares and apothecary studio Yield. Established in 2019 by the team behind the branding agency Gin Lane, Pattern Brands’ growth dovetails with $25 million recently raised in Series B financing.
Blu Dot unveils first complete bedding collection
With its sleek four-drawer dressers and nightstands built into curved upholstered headboards, it was only a matter of time before Minneapolis-based modern home decor brand Blu Dot rounded out its bedroom offerings with soft goods. The bedding collection, made at a family-owned mill in Portugal, spans smooth Egyptian cotton percale and stonewashed linen sheets, as well as mix-and-match duvet sets and bedcovers in such saturated colors as charcoal, loden green, gray blue, and tomato red. The latter assortment flaunts cozy textural weaves and intricate stitching, nailing a naturally worn-in appeal.
Buster + Punch takes on kitchen faucets
Following its entry into modular lighting last month, London label Buster + Punch continues to show off its metalwork savvy with the introduction of kitchen/”>kitchen faucets. Fashioned out of solid brass and finished in steel, brass, gun metal, or warm welder’s black, the industrial-inspired fixtures showcase cross- or linear-knurling details on the lever handle and filter cap and feature either a fixed aerated spout or pull- out spray variations.
